Green waste bins cost the same as general waste. Anything over the included weight is $32 per 100 kg. For light building waste, our light builders bins are the 9m³ from $1,030 (2.5 tonnes included) and the 12m³ from $1,220 (3 tonnes included). No building waste in general or green bins. General and green waste bins, in every size including the 2m³, 3m³ and 4m³, are for household rubbish and garden waste only. No soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, renovation waste or other building products. If you have building waste, or large amounts of MDF cabinets and furniture, you’ll need to upgrade to a builders bin. Soil, concrete, bricks and tiles can go in our 2m³ to 8m³ builders & mixed bins with no weight limit, but not in the 9m³ or 12m³ light builders bins.
Pulling up a driveway in Reservoir or digging out a backyard in Thornbury? Our heavy waste bins have no weight limits, so you can fill them with soil, rubble, bricks and tiles. If your load is 100% clean concrete (reo is fine), you get our cheaper concrete-only price.

If the bin can go in your driveway or on your property, you don’t need a permit. If it has to go on the road or nature strip, a permit is needed, and Darebin doesn’t charge for it. We arrange it for you. More on skip bin permits in Darebin.
Our 2m³ bin, from $300 including GST, delivery, collection and disposal. If your load is 100% clean concrete, a 2m³ concrete-only bin is from $250.
No. Darebin City Council doesn't charge for skip bin permits, and we arrange the permit for you if the bin has to go on the road or nature strip. If it fits on your property, no permit is needed.
The final price depends on your waste type and where you are. Most of Darebin is close to our yard, but the instant quote shows the exact price for your street.
